Yoke
(upper body restraint)
by MorTis
A Yoke is basically a chest harness, with the arms and shoulders included.
Needed:
1 Victim with a chest, 40ft of rope.
Step 1:
Find the center of your rope, fold it and create a
bight.
Step 2:
Your going to place the bight near the center of the back, an inch or so off the spine and wrap the rope horizontally around the body, around the left arm across
the bottom of the breasts , around the right arm around to the bight in the back.
Step 3:
Pull the tails through the bight to create a
larks head.
Step 4
Pull the rope snug, and wrap around the body in the opposite directions, this time on top of the chest, back around to the larks heads you created from the first band.
Step 5
Pull the tails snugly through the 2nd larks head you created. You can tie off her with a half hitch if you want.
Step 6
Now pull the tails back the way you came, and this time take the tails under the two bands of rope between the right arm and the body to the front and pull up snugly
to cinch the bands under the right arm.
Step 7
Pull the tails up over the right shoulder, around the back of the neck, and down between the left arm to cinch the left arm. (This is the yoke, like a pack animals harness)
Step 8
Take the tails back to the series of larks heads in the back. You can also tie a half hitch here to tie off this part of you want.
Step 9
Then take the tails up to the rope behind the neck, pass it behind and fold it over to the front and back down to the series of larks head, pull snugly, this will
make sure no pressure from the rope will be against the neck. And will put my pressure on the shoulder making it feel more like a yoke.
Step 10
Tie the tails off to the series of larks head with a square knot or half hitch.
Alternative:
If you have extra tails, and want to create bar handle, just twist the rope really nicest and tight up the fold of rope going to the neck and back down.
Alternative 2:
You can tie a boola-boola around the arms in a reverse parallel positions (basically both arms folded and holding each other) and tie that up to the larks head series.
This will immobilize the whole upper body.
