Candles (kyandoru) and HotWax (rou)By MorTisCandles are one of the more favored partners of rope bondage. It easy to direct, fun to use, and also looks great well with rope bondage! When using hot wax and be sensual, as well as sadistic, depending on how and where its is used on the body. Candle Flame temperature: The exact temperature of a candle flames depends on the material being consumed (burned). First, it is important to understand that a candle does NOT burn the wick (the string). It is the wax that acts as the fuel for the candle flame. The heat of the flame melts the wax, transforming the solid wax into a liquid, which then travels up the wick. (This process is known as capillary action.) Eventually the liquid wax is turned into a gas (like steam from a boiling kettle on the stove) and is consumed by the flame. Different waxes will have different flame temperatures. On average, the maximum flame temperature will be about 2550 deg F. (Remember that water boils at 212 deg F.) Candle Wax Melting / Pooling: Depending on the malting point of the wax your using, is how hot the wax will be if freely dripping. If the wax is pooling, like if your using a house candle, and there is a pool of liquid hot wax, the wax pool will get as hot enough to burn and damage the skin. So you want to use candles with wax that has a low melting point! Beeswax and other long burning house candles (usually made of synthetic based waxes should not be used, these burn at the hottest temperature, and the wax can get to damaging levels very easy. Low Temperature Candle / Paraffin: You want to use low temperature burning candles, usually made out of a material called paraffin. The melting point of paraffin is between 110-120o if there is not additives or dyes. And at most, paraffin will get is 160o if it does not pool. Candle Play Techniques: When using candles to do hot wax play, you will hold the candle above the body, and tip it over to drip wax onto your victim. How remember pooling is BAD, so if you have a pool of wax, dump if off on the ground, or blow out the candle, let it cool off, and re-light it. To start out, hold the candle high over the body, 2-3ft, the higher the better, because the further the distance a drop of hot wax travels, the cooler it will be, and the faster it will chill and become room temperature (solid) when it hits the body. Then you can get closer, to see what works best for you victim. Fondue pot: For wax play, you can also use a fondue pot, or any kind of cooker which you can control the exact temperature And use a pot with paraffin to melt it to a temp you want, usually about 120-144o and you can use a paint brush to actually paint wax onto your victim. You can even use several pots and melt crayons in them, yes, you can kink out crayons! And actually have a palette of 4-5 colors to use to paint on your victim! Ice: Now when I do wax play, I cant have the fire, without the ice! so usually when I play, I will rub down the skin with ice, which cools the skin, and leave water pools, which help cool off the hot wax faster, but makes the hot wax feel a little hotter because of temperature contrast even though its cooler at the point! great for play. So usually I will ice, the keep and ice cube in one hand, will having a dripping candle in the other hand, and the follow up the hot was a spilt second later with the ice cube! that way you know you victim will not get burned, and gets the effect! Young grasshopper, ice on, wax on, ice off! ==B) Wax Removal: This can also be a very fun part of the scene as well, the wax removal! Several ways you can remove wax. If you use baby oil on the skin, it will help wax removal latter, but oil on the skin also pull more heat into the skin at the same time. But if you oil the skin first, its easy to peal wax off. Knife play, if you into knife play, you can use a knife to peel / cut the wax off, you do not have to use a sharp knife to do this, skin will be so sensitive at this time, that you can use a butter knife, and you victim will think you using a scalpel. Beat it off, if you going to do a flogging after a waxing, you will beat most of it off. Or if you into scratching and have long fingernails, you can scratch the wax off! |
