Bamboo Yoke
(using a larks head truss)
by MorTis
One of the easiest want to tie bamboo to limbs is by using a larks head truss (There is another name for this, and I cant remember it at the moment),
around the limb and bamboo rod. This works great for a bamboo yoke. You can also use other cylindrical items instead of bamboo, such as wooden doll rods,
or PVC piping, etc.
Step 1:
Piece a 5-6' bamboo rod on your victims shoulders, and have them spread there arms up against it, and hold it up.
Step 2:
I usually will do a boola-boola,
or a banded cinch like the
frog legs
to the limb and bamboo.
Step 3:
Then pull the tails down the bamboo about every 6", hold the rope and hold it in place there.
Step 4:
Make a 90° angle with the rope, wrap it around the limb and bamboo back to the 90° twist
Step 5:
Pull the tails under the inside of the twist to lock it in place by making another 90° twist over the first towards the outside.
Step 6:
And repeat the as many times as you need every 6" or so.
Step 7:
Finish it off by doing a couple larks heads in a band, and tie off with a half hitch or by doing another boola-boola or banded cinch.
